OPTIMIZATION OF PERFORATION LENGTH AND DENSITY TO HOMOGENIZE PRODUCTION PROFILE

  • The idea about profile control by perforation is basically on the distributing of formation seep resistance. After optimizing perforation seep resistance, the discrepancy range of seep resistance about all the different is reduce. According to "Profile Control by Perforation" theory and multi-layer numerical model of perforating, the paper introduces a method to optimize the perforating strategy based on the property of each layer respectively. Corresponding software has been developed to calculate perforating length and density, and also to operate sensibility analysis.
