DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF A HYDRAULIC-MECHANICAL DUAL-ACTING LINER HANGER

The cementing technique of using liner hanger is very helpful for solving the problems exist in drilling and completion of the difficult wells. However, the use of conventional liner hanger is limited in such wells, due to the uncertainty of successful setting and latching. A novel hydraulic-mechanical dual-acting liner hanger is developed, with more reliable and safe performances as compared with the conventional one. Its structure design and working mechanism, the surface testing and field setting testing are presented.
