DEFINING FORMATION PRESSURE IN SHORT-TERM CLOSED-IN PRESSURE PARAMETER

  • Formation pressure is an indispensable parameterfor oilfield. Now, a lot of methods can define formation pressure, but they usually based on parameter of long-term closed-in pressure. In this paper, a new method is presented to define formation pressure in short-term closed-in pressure, which based on the research about theory of unstable well testing of fractal reservoirs. To compare the normal method of Horner, this kind of method is accurate, quick, wide and useful.
