GEOLOGICAL FACTORS OF CASING DAMAGE AND ITS CONTROLLING TECHNOLOGY

  • During the continuous oilfield development, casing damages may seriously threaten the stable production capability. There are many causes of casing damage, e.g., geological factors, corrosion factors, and because of downhole stimulation operations, etc. The geological factors are investigated in this paper, by taking Wenliu oilfield as an example, and focusing on the rock elastic-plastic driving during abnormal high-pressured oilfield development, and the reversible and irreversible deformation of reservoir. These two factors are analyzed based on the relevant elastic mechanics. Corresponding controlling methods are also presented for reference.
