FRICTION PREDICTION OF DRILLING STEM IN DIRECTIONAL WELL AND ITS APPLICATION

  • The frictional force in directional well is analyzed and studied based on the mechanics model of the flexural drill pipe, and through case history investigation and calculation,the friction distribution curve and the hook load are predicted.This method was used in the directional well D2-20 of Duntang Oilfield in Jiangsu,and the field measurement coincided with the prediction. This method can be used for reference in drill stem design and surface equipment selection.
