  • By analyzing the microstructure differences between slag MTC solids and cement solids, and through investigating the factors influencing slag cement embrittlement, it concludes that the activating agent is the main factor that causes slag cement embrittlement, and the key factor that improves and enhances the strength and toughness of the solids as well. A new method that improves the strength and toughness of MTC slag cement solids is proposed based on the theories of super strength cement and compound materials, and the newly developed MTC slag cement proves to be effective in field using.
