  • As an advanced drilling technology in trajectory control, steering drilling is applied in the directional drilling of Jiangsu Oilfield with good economic benefits. The focuses in this paper are mainly on the structure of steering assembly, bit selection and drilling parameters optimization, casing design, trajectory control and steering tool performances, etc. The steering assemblies suitable for the ?215.9 mm borehole in Jiangsu Oilfield are recommended.
