CEMENTING TECHNOLOGY OF ADJUSTMENT WELL WITH THIN RESERVOIR AND ACTIVE WATER LAYER

  • Oil and gas channeling after cementing is a prominent problem in Baise Oilfield, due to the shallow depth of oil well, the existence of multiple thin and active water/oil layers, shallow gas, and caving in potential. Acoustic amplitude logging shows that there are peaks in water layers, oil reservoirs and isolating layers, which is difficult for production and water injection. Tests and evaluations are carried out to determine the suitable slurry system, and a kind of anti-channeling cement slurry is selected, which the first and final cementation time, as well as the thickening time is short and compatible, and the static gelling strength develops very rapidly. Field tests in three wells show that this system can efficiently prevent channeling after cementing, and it greatly improves cementing quality.
