STUDY AND APPLICATION OF NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF WATER SHUTOFF IN SANDSTONE RESERVOIR

  • After the mechanism of water shutoff has been studied by numerical simulation with black oil model, some qualitative and quantitative realizations and conclusions are given in this paper. Based on the realizations and conclusions, the entirety water shutoff of fault-block L36 is simulated and studied. As a result, the effect of water shutoff on the reservoir of fault-block L36 is forecasted and the better scheme of adjustment is selected from eight projects. By the end of the using, the water cut of this fault was fallen from 2% to zero, the increasing production of oil is 9066 t. In conclusion, this effective method could be used in any reservoir with same conditions.
