DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW ASSOCIATIVE POLYMER IN PROFILE CONTROL

  • Taking the new associative polymer(developed by Southwest Petroleum Institute) as the main agent, the new associative polymer profile control and water shutoff agent system(Cr3+ gel system, Al3+ gel system, phenolaldehyde gel system) was developed. Through the modification and crosslinking of the main agent, this kind of profile control and water shutoff agent system can form three-dimension net structure with high strength and block formation pore and fracture combined with the assisted mechanism of association, adsorption, viscoelastic behavior and salt-thickening. Investigation shows that it has characteristics of adjustable gelation time, tolerating to high temperature and high salt and high breakdown pressure, long period of validity and wide adaptability. So further popularization and application could be attained for the complex reservoir with high temperature and high salinity or fracture.
