THE NUMERICAL STUDY OF FLOW LOSS FOR VARIABLE MASS FLOW IN THE HORIZONTAL WELL (PART TWO), FLOW IN MULTICAN HOLE

  • This paper (part two) is a sequel of the numerical study about the pressure drop of variable mass flow in the horizontal well (part one), and investigates the pressure drop and friction of flow in the horizontal well with multibarrel injection. The pressure drop and wall friction along the well has great influence for the oil output. Therefore it is very important for optimizing the length of horizontal well, designing the technology and forecasting the oil output, if we understand the pressure drop law in the horizontal segment. This paper studies the influence of multibarrel injection on the flow properties by the numerical method and provides the variation law of friction and pressure drop coefficients of the flow with different Reynolds numbers and injected flux in pipe when fluid is injected at the pipe wall.
