STUDY ON THE APPROACH OF H2S RELEASED FROM DEGRADED SULFONATED POLYMER OF DRILLING MUD CONDITIONING AGENT

  • At high temperature or SRB or electrolytic action,the sulfonated high molecular compound of water-based drilling mud conditioning agent is degraded releasing out H2S.The corrosion products are Fe9S8 at room temperature,and FeS when temperature is above 60℃.The derived H2S is also hazardous to the drilling string and casing,and may reduce the performance of drilling mud.
