RESEARCH AND APPLICATION OF PERCUSSION ROTARY DRILLING TECHNOLOGY IN PETROLEUM DRILLING

Based on analysis of application prospects of rotary drilling in petroleum drilling,this paper presents the structure and working principle of the new hydraulic kicker.The calculating formulas for the power of single stroke,utilization efficiency of energy and frequency of strokes are derived from the energy equation of the reciprocating pump.These formulas are also verified by the measured data.The verification indicates that these formulas derived correct.The penetration rate is increased by 20%~60% in comparison with the rotary table drilling during the field test.
