ANALYSIS OF FORCE AND MOVEMENT OF UNIVERSAL SHAFT AND SHIFT CALCULATION OF BENT HOUSING BORE

  • Universal shaft is a connecting member between motor rotor and driving shaft-It is crucial for a correct design of bent housing steering PDD to understand the characteristics of universal shaft’s force and movement and the shift calculation of bent housing relative to straight housing. This paper discuss the characteristics of movement and force of lobe universal shaft, analyzes the strength of lobe teeth, and presents the calculation equation for bore shift for various structure of both single bent housing and double bent housing.
