DRILLING FLUID DEVELOPMENT IN TANGYUAN FAULTED SAG

  • Various zones are subject to slough,leakage,tight hole,balling and sticking due to complicated formation in Tangyuan faulted sag in Daging. To solve the problem,an amphoteric ion polymer drilling fluid with high inhibition has been developed. Shielded temporary plugging along with small canon (NW-1) is used to enhance sidewall stability. Test results in wells Miao 1,Hu 4 and Hu 6 showed that this system reducerd accident handling times 110 days and 40 days and economic losses 1.43 million yuan and 1.5 million yuan compared with wells Tangchan 1 and Ji 1 respectively,providing a good solution for drilling problems in this area.
