EFFECT OF PULSE DISCHARGE OF STRONG CURRENT ON CASING

  • Plug removal by downhole pulse discharge of strong current is an effective physical stimulation method for producers and injectors. The technique is characterized by long time energy storage and instantaneous large energy release. This paper introduces the plug removal principle of this technique and the effect of electric discharge on casing. Preliminary conclusion was drawn from 2 tests:the shock wave produced by downhole electric discharge equipment can not injure the casing both at home and abroad at present.
