ADVANCE IN PROFILE CONTROL THROUGH CHEMICAL WATER SHUTOFF IN CHINESE OIL FIELDS

  • Profile control through water shutoff is an important measure to sustain oil production and control water production in high water cut oil field. This paper briefly introduce the newly advance in profile control through chemical water shutoff in Chinese oil fields from aspects such as physical analog research, optimizing design and decision technique of water shutoff profile control, development of water shutoff profile control agent, deep profile control technique, water shutoff technique, matching construction equipme1lt and so on.It also offered proposals to the research and development of water shutoff profile control.
