SIDETRACKING DIRECTIONAL WELL TECHNOLOGY IN 139.7mm CASING

  • Well Guan 50-KH is the first sidetracking horizontal slim hole in 139. 7mm casing, which was deslgned and drilled by ourselves at present. This paper mainly introduced the whipstock sidetracking technology and indicated the shortcomings of section mill sidetracking technology. After adjusting drilling parameters several times, 138. 83m horizontal section was completed and 136. 83m reservoir was drilled through in 118mm well. The maximum deviation angle is 88. 8°, the direction of closure in bottom hole is 231. 08°, the maximum deviation between design line in horizontal direction is 2. 1m and the maximum vertical depth discrepancy is 0. 66m. This paper also indicated 10 problems that occurred during operation and drew a conclusion that whipstock sidetracking is better than section millsidetracking in 139. 7mm casing.
