Abstract

This paper introduced the principle of formation pressure prediction with seismic velocity. It also discussed calculation method and mathematical model of seismic ve locity in detail. Analyzing the relationship between seismic velocity and VSP logging data,conventional logging data, the method of predicting formation pressure with The use of seis mic velocity was set up. Its prediction accuracy was further improved by field practice.
