  • The contraction force will be produced in unsetting of hydraulic packer by lifting tubing string because of effect pressure and pumping and so on. In order to prevent failure of packer and provide theoretical basis for selection of unsetting shear pin, the unsetting force of packer must he calculated in design. This Paper presents five factors effecting on unsetting force, and makes the detail analyses and calculations taking Y441B type twoway anchored packer as an example. The method is also suitable for other packers.
