CALCULATING METHOD OF PRESSURE DROP IN HORIZONTAL WELLBORE

  • This paper introduces some method for calculating pressure drop in the horizontal section of horizontal well, including single wphase flow(laminar and turbulent flow), gas-liquid two phase flow and oil-gas-water three phase flow. An example ls used to demonstrate the calculation of pressure drop in case of the single-phase turbulent flow. The results show that the pressure can not be ignored in turbulent flow. There are larger pressure drop in multiphase flow.
