A NEW METHOD FOR ABNORMAL PRESSURE PREDICTION IN UNCONTINUOUS SEDIMENTARY FORMATION

  • This paper summarizes briefly a new method for overpressure prediction in uncontinuous Sedimentary formation.The method which makes full use of the data of combination logging to detect the overpressure.It introduces the distinguishing features and computing modes of this method.Applications of several wells in Talim Basin show that the method adapts to the complicated pressure system in Talim:high-pressure gradient,the big differential of pressure gradient in same profile.
