TEMPERATURE OF BOREHOLE EFFECT ON WELL WALL STABILITY

  • During drilling in deep well,the bottom hole temperature is higher so that temperature in upper wellbore rises when drilling fluid circulating.High temperature made surrounding rocks swell and produce expansion stress.Using thermal elastic mechanics illustrate changing of stress field caused by temperature changing of well wall and describe the change of temperature effect on stability of wellbore.
