STUDY AND APPLICATION OF FORMATION STIMULATION TECHNIQUE USING DOWNHOLE ELECTRIC DISCHARGE

  • The electrical impulse caused by discharge of high tension current may produce period pressure wave and strong electromagnetic field, and cause cavitation. These results may remove near wellbore formation plugging,produce rnicrofracture,and improve permeability of near wellbore formation. Field test results indicate that this technique can remove effectively formation plugging,and then increase productivity or injection. This technique has the advantages of small investment,quick yield results,high success ratio,simple. operation and good benefit.
