SOME OPINIONS ON THE HYDRAULIC DESIGNING OF DOWN HOLE BOOSTER

  • Jet drilling can increase the drilling rate,while overpressure jet drilling could increase of 2-3 times. It was not used in practice because of the overpressure applying on the equipment. The dual string drilling system was developed by the end of the 1980s,carring cuttings with high flow rate under normal pressure and cracking rocks with low flow rate under high pressure. In this system, the surface booster was used, but its reliability was low while the cost was high. At present,it is down hole booster that has caused much attention to the drilling field,it solved the problems of the dual string drilling system. It was stated the meanings of the study on downhole booster to the improving of drilling rate, analyzed the power and requirment of the static pressure down hole booster. The author recommended the hydraulic designing and calculation method of two kinds of typical downhole booster.
