EFFECT OF FLUOBORIC ACID AND MUD ACID ON CLAY SWELLING PROPERTY

  • When clay mineral has been treated by fluoboric acid and mud acid,cation exchgnge capeity (CEC) and exchange hydrogen ion will be decred,and the Spent acid still has some capability to lower CEC. The reason for this is that the property of clay mineral is changed,and the non-clay product,most of which is silica,is formed in the process of clay with acid.
