  • PDM (Pooitive Displacement Motor) with bent housing can increase its building rate during direction drilling. This paper have analyzed the mechanics of PDM with bent housing on the basic theory of limited element method and focus on discussing the effects of structural angle, well angle and tolerance between well bore and stabilizers and stiffness of collar on building rate of PDM with bent housing. The results.shown the building up rate of PDM is increased with increment of its structural angle. Double angle PDM’s built rate greater than single angle one’s by 50% in the same condition.
