SIMULATION OF FORMATION DAMAGE CAUSED BY INJECTION OF WATER PRODUCED FROM OIL WELL

  • Water produced from oil well is a by-product of middle/later peried oilfield development.Reinjecting the produced water into formation is a effective way to prevent environment polution and to make full use of this resources. However,it is essential to prevent formation damage in the reinjection of produced water. Based on a vast amount of flow experiments of core, this poper analyses the effects of solid and oil droplet in water from oil well on permeability, deter mines the relations between solid, content and size and distribution of oil droplet, flow rate and permeability damage, and then establishs the relevant mathematical models. Furthermore, according to the variation law of permeability from simulation tests, this paper makes a thorough analysis to the mechanism of formation damage in the reinjection of water from oil well, provides scientific basis for the comprehensive utilization of water from oil well.
