  • Rock failure mode during drilling using ballas bit is similar ro shearing with high RPM and low WOB. The practices and experiences have proven that Ballas bit have good effects to prevent wellbore from deviation and to drop hole angle. In application of ballas bit at Tongfu No.4 and Ti No.4 wells in South Sichuan provence,the economical benefits have been achieved during drilling in troublesome well and formations which are easy deviation.
