THE ACTION MECHANISM AND APPLICATION EFFECT OF SLANT NOZZLE

  • The slant nozzle is one of the high efficiency nozzles,in addition to extended,medium extended and center nozzles,which can produce higher hydraulic jeting power and cross flow with more effect action area on bottom of hole to remove cuttings bed and prevent from bit baling up,so that can improve drilling penetration and increase the footage per bit.In this article,it is presented the mechanism,structure available and characters about slant nozzle.on the basis of application of slant nozzle in nine oilfields,such as Zhongyuan,Tuha and Jiangshu oilfilds,it have been shown the penetration rate increasing by 12-17 percent,the footage per bit increasing 10-24 percent after using the slant nozzle,with considerabale benefit.
