A METHOD FOR MEASURING THE MECHANICAL PARAMETERS OF ROCK IN RESERVOIR USING ULTRASONIC WAVE

  • Using ultrasonic wave to measure and calculate the mechanical parameters of rock is a effective method. In order to simulate the true situaion of rock in reservoir as fully as possible, the cores simulating reservoir condition are used instead of the outcrop cores in the teats.Combining with the needs of prduction, the mechanical parameters of rock in different temperatures and pressures are measured taking the fracture-type reservoir core in the Junger basin as the object of study.Applying those parameters, the propagation law of ultrasonic wave in the reservoir is studied, the elastic modulus of rock are calculated, the fracturing parameters are designed, and the rock stability and the fracture height is Judged.According to the testing results, the measured mechanical parameters of rock have something to do with the temperature and pressure, with is influenced slightly by the temperature and greatly by the pressure. In addition, this method is equivalent to the well logging. It needs a lower cost and doesn’t affect the oil production,is worth to propularize extensively.
