THE EFFECTS ON PUMP EFFICIENCY OF A SUCKER ROD PUMPING WELL AND THE ENERGY LOSSES WITHIN THE WELLBORE

  • According to the tested production data of hundred-odd sucker rod pumping wells in Daqing oilfield,the total efficiency an every part of power losses of a sucker rod pump are calculated,and the effects on the pump efficiency are analysed in this paper.By means of calculation and analysis of the each part of downhole power losses,a clear understanding of the reason why the downhole pump efficiency is not high is known.The main reason is that the great part of power is lossed in the power transmission from the sucker rod,which accounts for 42.1 Percent of the average Polished rod horsepower of 117 wells.some proposals for improving system efficiency in a pumping well are given in this paper.
