GEOMETRIC ANALYSIS AND CALCULATION OF BUILD-UP RATE OF MOTOR DRILLING TOOL

  • Based on the bottom hole assemly with motor commonly used in medium-radius horizontal well,the formulae for calculating build-up rate of double bent motor drilling tool with and without stabilizer are derived using the geometric analysis method.The build-up rate of double bent motor drilling tool of different geometric sizes is able to be analized and predicted,and also to be used in guiding the design and manufacture of configuration structure of motor drilling tool.In addition,the formulae for calculating build-up rate of single bent motor drilling tool and the double-tilted universal(DTU) joint drilling tool are also discussed as well as the field test and verification of the calculation of the single and double bent motor drilling tool is made-The drilling pratices show that the calculation has a certain practicality.
