Production characteristic of interfered well under inter-well fracturing interference in shale oil reservoir: A case study on Jimusaer shale oil reservoir

  • In order to increase the single-well production degree of shale oil reservoir and maintain high-yield production, the development well spacing is shortened continuously, which leads to frequent occurrence of inter-well fracturing interference. And the production characteristics of interfered well are not understood. In this paper, the numerical models of interfering and interfered wells were established on the basis of multi-zone composite model, combined with dual-medium equivalent hydraulic fracture network simulation method, by analyzing the field data. And the production characteristics of interfered well in shale oil reservoir under the condition of inter-well fracturing interference were clarified. It is indicated that the production of interfered well in shale oil reservoir can be divided into three stages, i.e., soak, flowback and early production. In the soak stage, the pressure depletion rate in the fracture network in the layers of interfered well is slowed down by the fracturing interference of the neighboring well, and the influence degree of interference on production is dependent on fracture connection types. In the early production stage, with the increase of inter-well connected fractures, the pressure of fracturing well is influenced more, and the production rate of interfered well rises, but the increase amplitude varies greatly with the number of connected fractures. This research is of certain guiding significance to clarify the production characteristics of interfered well in shale oil reservoir and prepare reasonable postfrac production system.
