Analysis on digital and intelligent construction of wellbore for oil and water wells

  • Along with the progress of oilfield development, the plane and inter-layer contradictions gradually intensify, the frequency of dynamic adjustment for injection and production accelerates, and tapping the potential of remaining oil becomes more difficult. These problems need to be solved urgently. To solve these problems, improving the measurement and adjustment efficiency and establishing a dynamic database are effective means, that is, the prototype of reservoir digitization and intelligentize. The digitization and intelligentize of wellbore for oil and water wells is a key part of developing smart oilfields. On the one hand, it provides real-time and accurate oil layer dynamic and static data for reservoir engineering, and provides real-time fluid status for surface engineering, which will meet the needs of digital development; on the other hand, it can automatically and intelligently change the oil layer status according to the database, and realize dynamic adjustment, which will meet the needs of dynamic adjustment of development. Focusing on modern science and technologies such as high-precision sensors, wired/wireless communication, signal processing, etc., the function, principle, and core technology of downhole tools for intelligent oil and water wells in Daqing Oilfield were summarized and analyzed, and the status quo of digital well technology for oil and water wells was discussed. Combined with the production requirements such as well structure design and production parameter acquisition for oil and water wells, a vision and development prototype for constructing digital-intelligence well foe oil and water wells was proposed, which may provide a guidance in forming a complete and comprehensive well construction theory for future industry.
