Key technologies for deep well drilling and completion in Bayan Hetao New Area

  • In the formation with well depth over 4 500 m, to control the well trajectory is difficult, well wall is easy to collapse, well enlargement rate is great, blockage during the process of drilling and completion occurs frequently, and to ensure the cementing quality of the long sealing section is difficult. In order to solve these technical difficulties, and based on the analysis of the technical difficulties on drilling and completion, the well structure, well trajectory and well trajectory control method were optimized, the drilling speed-up technical plan was formulated, and the formula of drilling fluid and cementing slurry was improved, forming a series of technologies for efficient drilling and completion of deep wells in Bayan Hetao New Area. Field application shows that: the collapse of the well wall is significantly reduced, the time for drilling and drifting is shortened, the drilling and completion cycle is greatly reduced, and the cementing quality is improved. This study can provide a technical guidance for safe and efficient drilling and completion in Bayan Hetao New Area.
