Influence of nuclear magnetic resonance logging on electrical imaging logging

  • In order to study the influence of nuclear magnetic resonance logging on electrical imaging logging, develop a set of feasible correction methods and put forward an optimal logging design, the core data were analyzed by combining with the principles of nuclear magnetic resonance logging and electrical imaging logging. It is shown that an artificial magnetic field can be formed soon after ferruginous minerals are magnetized during the nuclear magnetic resonance logging. And if the electrical imaging logging is carried out at this time, the artificial magnetic field will affect the location of the electrical imaging pad and lead to the abnormal image of electrical imaging logging. Finally, a case study was carried out.It is indicated that the electrical imaging data can basically meet the interpretation and evaluation requirements after the inclinometry data is corrected by means of the least square fitting.Furthermore, the logging sequence is optimized respectively corresponding to the formation containing ferruginous minerals or not.
