Method and application of Archaean buried hill interface identification

  • Archaeozoic metamorphic buried hill has experienced the transformation of multi-stage tectonic movement and has been eroded and weathered for a long time.Consequently, fractured reservoir and pore-fractured reservoir are formed, which are prone to downhole accidents like well loss, blowout or well collapse. Therefore, accurate buried hill interface identification and in-time intermediate casing running is required. To accurately identify the buried hill interface and eliminate the downhole accidents, based on the characteristics of buried hill, drilling parameters, lithology characteristics, and contrast characteristics of offset wells, a set of methods for Archean buried hill interface identification is summarized. On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of Archean metamorphic buried hill, a four-step method of buried hill interface identification with drilling, rock, logging and electricity is established, and the best method for buried hill interface identification with "sensitive parameter method" is summarized.Using the method, the buried hill interface is accurately identified with small errors between the actual interface and interface by logging, which provides a guarantee for the safety of buried hill coring, testing and engineering.
