Identification of oil and gas reservoirs in complex conglomerate reservoirs in Bohai Oilfield

  • With the deepening of the exploration in the Bohai Oilfield, the mainlithology of the formation gradually changes from the sandstone and mudstone in the shallow strata to the complex lithology of the glutenite, igneous and metamorphic rocks in the middle and deep strata.The middle deep and deep reservoirshave the features of complexphysical properties and pore types, weak oil and gas show in logging and inconspicuous drilling parameters, which pose challenges to the discovery and identification of oil and gas.Based on thedataof severalmiddle deep and deep exploration wells, studies and analyses on the complex glutenite reservoirs are conducted.A set of identification methods for oil and gas in such complex reservoirs is established.The oil, gasand waterdistribution in complex reservoirsand the corresponding logging response characteristics is summarized.A gas reservoir identification technology is developed based on gas logging technology and three-dimensional quantitative fluorescence technology assisted by geochemical brightness method and longitudinal parameter change trend method.The successful application of the identification technology in Bohai Oilfield provides a strong basis for the decision-makingof middledeep and deep reservoir exploration and the implementation of the laterproduction plan.
