Abstract
Horizontal wells in Puguang Gasfield are characterized by significant depth, long and thick perforated intervals. With crisscrossing of Class I, Class II and Class III reservoir formations, relevant reservoirs have severe heterogeneity. Some wells may even contain bottom or edge water. To evenly distribute acid in horizontal intervals to enhance acidification performances, stabilize gas production and minimize water production, fluid-absorption intensities of the formation have been reviewed to determine stages of packers, installation positions of sleeves, diameters of sleeves, the quantity of pores, depth of tailpipe and other essential parameters for integral pipe-string required for production of horizontal well in Puguang Gasfield. Through theoretical analyses and numerical simulation, structures of integral pipe-string and optimal operational parameters for production of horizontal wells with different completions in high-sulfur Puguang Gasfield have been highlighted. Relevant research results may provide technical guidelines for designing tool string for multi-stage acidization and improving acidization operation in horizontal wells for development of high-sulfur Puguang Gasfield.
