Application status and development direction of cement slurry system in deepwatersurface

  • The paper starts with an introduction to the cement slurry systems used for well cementing in deepwater surface at home and abroad and goes on to describe the field application and advanced experience of different cement slurry systems as well as the existing problems. Considering these problems and the characteristics of ambient temperature in domestic deepwater areas, a shallow water cement slurry system characterized by low temperature, low density, low hydration, thermal anti-channeling, and low temperature early strength for shallow casing and well cementing is independently developed and successfully applied in field operations. The paper concludes by identifying the future direction of deepwatersurface cementing technology and providing a reference for the field application of deep water surface cementing operation and guidance for the technology development.
