Development and application of jack-up tubing stand

  • In view of large labor intensity of well pullers and safety hazards during tubing handling on workover job site, the jack-up tubing stand was developed. The Hypermesh software was used to conduct statics analysis to tubing bracket and mast, whose rigidity and strength could meet the operating requirement. This device lifts and pulls tubing through hydraulic pressure, and can elevate tubing in a range of 0.1–1 m and its maximum load is 800 kg. The field application shows that this device can be used in actual operations and can replace the roustabouts to handle and pull the tubing, thus reducing the workers’ labor intensity.
