Pilot application of APR completion testing technology in abnormal pressure reservoir

  • Abnormal pressure will make the well completion testing design difficult in abnormal pressure reservoirs. For avoiding hazards in testing, this paper discusses the APR well completion test tools and conventional test string technology popular in China, and proposes the testing string combination technique of different completion modes under abnormal pressure, which considering the characteristics of abnormal pressure reservoir and completion necessity. Moreover, this paper analyzes the influence factors for operation in abnormal pressure reservoir and verified the feasibility of above technique by case study. The research results will provide reference for abnormal pressure reservoirs using APR well completion testing technology.
