Study on water production types of deviated wells

  • There exists gradual water flooded phenomena in production wells during the process of natural water drive and artificial water flooding,which results in the increase of water-cut and decrease of production.Effective methods regarding the type and position of water production are scanty.Aimed at water production of highly deviated wells of western South China Sea and on the basis of corresponding reservoir geologic and development conditions,2,592 conceptual models are presented in the paper.Through simulation calculation of conceptual models,corresponding water production characteristics are figured out.Based on this,14 water production types are summarized.It is indicated that the established water production modes are reliable according to the result of actual wells and can provide guideline for technologies like water plugging.
