Abstract:
For the sake of special surface features such as villages and ponds, some horizontal wells just like XiH3 in Dagangoilfield have to be drilled with shallow deflecting( 300 m) and highly deviated holes. Due to the limitation of lifting techniques,correlated blocks are not developed yet. In order to solve this problem, this paper calculates the well trajectory that conventionalelectric submersible pump( ESP) can be laid down. XiH3 is taken as an example to be analyzed and compared, and a conclusionis drawn that conventional ESP can’t satisfy the production need. So we introduced an inclined-shaft ESP, with emphasis on theimprovement of unit parts prone to bend and protector of flat cable and electrical motor. Field application achieved a good result. Thenew technology provides an effective method for the lifting of shallow deflecting highly deviated wells in Dagang land oil filed anddeveloping the reservoir blocks which are difficult to exploit earlier for the reason of surface environment.
