Abstract:
Long horizontal-section well can increase reservoir bare area and improve overall development beneficial results ofmarginal fields obviously. In order to examine preceding research results and improve drilling techniques of long horizontal-section wellfuture, the first experimental well of long horizontal-section well, Jinping 1 well, is planned to be allocated. On the basis of analyzingthe difficulties in operating the well, the article lays emphasis on the discussion of some key techniques, such as the optimization designof wellbore structure and well path design, the large hole shallow surface hole directional drilling, the well trajectory control , the BHAoptimization and safe drilling. Based on correlation analysis of the theory and the practical operation of torque and drag in horizontalsection, the field operation goes smoothly. The successful drilling of the well provides valuable experience in extended-reach horizontaland long horizontal-section well drilling, creating three records in the Shengli Oilfield, with the ratio of horizontal displacement to truevertical depth hitting 2.803. This is the highest among all onshore oilfields in China at that time.
