Abstract: The sticking of the production and sand control pipe strings is a common problem occurring during workover. The hydraulic lifting jack gets critical to fulfill the major workover without using the drilling platform. The characteristics of using the JK-120 hydraulic lifting jack are introduced. Combined with the successful field application of the lifting jack to the Bohai SZ36-1J16 well, the risk evaluation on the using of the lifting jack is discussed. Field application shows that the lifting jack features in easy and secure operation and low cost during the process of removing sticking. It has broad prospect in the market and has great economic results.
