川西地区复合钻井技术地层适应性试验研究

Adaptability research on compound drilling technologies to formations in western Sichuan

  • 摘要: 为提高机械钻速,节约钻井成本,加快川西深层须家河组气藏勘探开发进程,进行了复合钻井技术地层适应性研究。通过分析实钻历史资料,发现蓬莱镇组地层钻速随着钻压、转速的增加,增幅较大;遂宁组、沙溪庙组地层钻速增幅相对较平缓,考虑地层岩性、地层压力梯度等因素,认为蓬莱镇组和遂宁组地层均适合在高钻速下钻进。现场试验表明,在蓬莱镇组、遂宁组地层311.15 mm、215.9 mm井眼段平均机械钻速比未使用复合钻井提高近2倍;沙溪庙组、千佛崖组、须家河组地层由于地层压力梯度大于1.5 MPa/100 m,不适合复合钻井;白田坝组地层含砾石会加速PDC钻头磨损而不适合复合钻井;复合钻井应用于防斜打快技术中,在控制井斜的同时可比钟摆钻具组合提高钻压50%以上。探索出了适合川西地区安全快速钻进的复合钻井技术。

     

    Abstract: Field test is conducted to improve the penetration rate, reduce the drilling cost, and accelerate the exploration and development of the gas reservoir in Xujiahe formation in western Sichuan. Results show that the formation’s drilling strength in Penglaizhen formation is enhanced along with the increase of the bit load and the rotation rate. The drilling rate in Penglaizhen formation increases dramatically, while that in Suining and Shaximiao formations increases more slowly. Considering the factors such as the formation lithology and the formation pressure gradient, Suining and Penglaizhen formations are fit to drill with high rate. It is shown that the average penetration rate used in 311.15 mm and 215.9 mm wellbore of Penglaizhen and Suining formations can be increased twice higher than that used in the formations without using compound drilling. Compound drilling is not fit to be used in the Shaximiao, Qianfoya, and Xujiahe formations, because the formation pressure gradient exceeds 1.5 MPa/100m. Also compound drilling can not be used in Baitianba formation, owing that the gravels in the formation may accelerate the abrasion of PDC bit. Field tests show that when the compound drilling is applied to the the vertical and fast drilling technology, it can increase the bit load for more than 50% compared with the pendulum assembly in addition to controlling borehole deviation. As a result, the compound drilling technology suitable for the safe and faster drilling in western Sichuan is developed.
