Abstract:
aiming at the serious problem of steam channeling in heavy oil area of Xinjiang oilfield with steam injection exploitation, an authigenic CO2
compound foam agent was studied and its channeling plugging performance was evaluated by experiment, and then a steam channeling plugging technique using
authigenic CO2 compound foam was formed. Firstly, the channeling plugging agent was injected into formation before steam injected, second, CO2 and N2 was
decomposed from initiating agent in high temperature environment, and they combined with foaming agent to generate high temperature foam. The foam could plug
steam channeling tunnels, and enhance steam stimulation effect. The operation of this technique was simple on site, and applied in 10 wells in Xinjiang
oilfield. The results show that it had favorable production increment.
