Abstract: Piezometric technique with capillary tubing is a kind of technique which transfers downhole pressure onto surface by taking nitrogen as the pressure transfer medium, tests the pressure, and then based on it reckons the pressure at the piezometric depth.The technique has the characteristics of high accuracy of piezometry, simple structure ofdownhole part, long service life of surface part and being apt to turnaround, it can accomplish various kinds of systematic well testing and transient testing job, is suitable to single zone testing and multi-zone testing in vertical well, inclined well, horizontal well and viscous oil thermal recovery well, can satisfy the demands of testing in artificial lift well and flow production well without stopping production, and is more suitable to the use in off shore oilfield.
